Health Plan Advice for Seffner and the Surrounding Area

Before any plan goes on the table, we ask about the doctors you see, the medications you take and what you can spend each month. That talk can happen at our office or by phone or video. Then we line up plans from several carriers so your first choice fits.

Who We Work With

Most of our clients live in Seffner or a short drive away. We work with people in Brandon, Valrico, Mango and Dover, and with folks up in Thonotosassa and over in Temple Terrace. Plant City and Bloomingdale are close by too. If you live in East Lake-Orient Park or Palm River-Clair Mel, we can help you the same way.

You do not have to come in. A lot of people would rather talk by phone or set up a quick video call after work. Others like to sit across a desk with their paperwork. Either way works. We ask the same questions, look at the same plans and give you the same straight answers. The consultation has no fee. The carrier you end up enrolling with pays us, so having us check your options costs you nothing.

What We Look At Before We Compare Plans

  • Open enrollment timing

Florida uses the federal marketplace, and open enrollment usually runs from November 1 into mid-January. Miss it and you generally need a qualifying event, like losing job coverage, moving, marrying or having a baby, to sign up mid-year. We check where you stand on the calendar first, so you know which plans you can actually get and when coverage would start.

  • Which doctors are in network

Two plans can have the same premium and very different networks. Before we talk price, we ask which doctors, clinics and hospitals you want to keep using around Hillsborough County. Then we only show you plans that include them. A cheap plan that drops your doctor is not a good deal.

  • Your real costs, not just the premium

The monthly premium is only part of it. We look at the deductible, copays and out-of-pocket maximum against how often you see a doctor and what medications you take. Someone who rarely goes in may do fine with a higher deductible. A family with young kids usually does not.

  • Coverage beyond the medical plan

Some clients also want dental insurance, vision insurance or accident insurance. We ask about that up front instead of adding it at the end. That way you can see if a separate plan makes sense, or if you would be paying for benefits you will not use.
